Steve Wernikoff is a partner in the Chicago office of Honigman LLP and co-leads the firm’s autonomous vehicles and data, privacy and cybersecurity groups. Wernikoff regularly provides legal guidance concerning data privacy and security, marketing and other consumer protection issues. Prior to joining Honigman, he was an enforcement attorney at the Federal Trade Commission for 17 years in a wide range of e-commerce and emerging technology issues, including internet and mobile advertising, credit card and other financial fraud, data privacy, spam, and telemarketing. Wernikoff has served as an adjunct faculty member at Northwestern University School of Law and Washington University.
