Stephen Olsen is an embedded industry expert with over 30 years of experience in embedded software development, thought leadership and communications. He is currently a principal field application engineer for automotive with QNX. Prior to QNX, Olsen worked with other real-time operating system vendors as a system architect, product line manager, engineering manager and technical marketer. Outside of these companies, he has co-chaired VSIA's hardware-dependent software working group, worked on the MRAPI specification for the Multicore Association, and authored papers on safety-certifiable systems, system architecture, USB, multicore/multi-OS design, and power management. He has been awarded a patent on debugging hardware-accelerated operating systems.
