Dr Joonwoo Son is the founder and chairman of Sonnet.AI, South Korea’s leading autonomous mobility startup. With over 29 years of experience in automotive research and development, he has led innovations in autonomous driving technologies across both academia and industry. His leadership has driven Sonnet.AI’s real-world deployments and the design of its next-generation roboshuttle. He previously served as principal research engineer at DGIST, senior research engineer at Daewoo Precision Industries and SiemensVDO, and visiting engineer at MIT. Dr Son specializes in autonomous systems, AI and human factors in mobility.
