Emal is the Founder and CEO of San Francisco-based Avala AI, which provides 4D Multi-Modal Labeling, Calibration, and Dataset Management for ADAS. Prior to founding Avala, Emal was the third software engineer on the Tesla Autopilot AI team and reported directly to Elon Musk. After 6 years at Tesla, Emal started Avala to build the AI Ops tooling that he would have love to have used at Autopilot, rooted in a strong foundation of ethical standards for the welfare and equity of the human workers behind AI.
