The methods to develop and test ADAS and automated driving systems are continuously evolving. Principles like ODD and scenario coverage need languages that describe the respective artifacts. A variety of test environments needs to be blended with the best-fit test methods. The results of virtual testing will only be accepted if the underlying tools and methods provide sufficient quality and credibility. ASAM is addressing these topics with the release of new standards and by upgrading existing standards. This presentation shall give an overview of what has been achieved so far and what the near future will bring under the roof of ASAM.
