Securing the vehicle computer to realize the SDV
27 Aug 2025
Day 1
The transformation from an isolated mechanical car to a highly inter-connected software-driven car for the ultimate customer driving experience demands advanced security implementation to enable safe and secure vehicles. A vehicle computer is the corner stone of the new E/E architecture, therefore; securing it is a pre-requisite to enable advanced software functionality. Securing this corner stone control unit is complex and requires a different way of envisioning security. In this presentation, the audience will be exposed to security challenges, some security use cases, and gain insights into implementation of automotive system-on-chip (SoC) security solution.
- Security is a critical aspect of the vehicle computer ECU.
- Traditional approaches to cybersecurity aren't sufficient; securing vehicle computers requires a new mindset and strategies.
- Integration of security software into the complex vehicle computer applications.
- Real examples will show how today’s threats are being addressed in the field.
- Exposure on some security use cases such as secure manufacturing provisioning, ECU life cycle, and more.
